Welcome to the National Internet Observatory (NIO) at Northeastern University. You are being asked to participate in a ground-breaking research study seeking to create the most complete picture of online America. Learn more about the research here.

To participate, all you need to do is download our mobile app for Android, our app for iOS or our browser extension and answer occasional surveys. Before you can join, we need to explain the research and get your permission to collect data. This enrollment process will take 10-20 minutes.

You will be compensated $10 for completing the enrollment and using one of our apps or the extension for at least 30 days. Download the extension or an app to get started

We will not collect your data until you complete the enrollment process. Once you finish, you can start contributing data.
